Adding objects to a pre-deformed lattice will automatically deform them to fit and is no different to adding the lattice first, then editing it. You can also parrent the lattice under the lattice group can quit remember what it is called and then you can translate the lattice without deforming the mesh, it will only deform when you use the vertexs. Message 1 of 5. Lattice-like shape not attice deformer question. Hello: I am pretty new to maya because I am a former max user. I have a modeling question, this does not have anything to do with the lattice deformer.
Is there a way to create a lattice-like shape from polygon edges or another method although I like working with polygons. Max has a lattice modifier to do this, and I wonder if Maya has a similar tool.
