When was 90210 created

I really wanted to play Andrea. It was sweet. It was actually very endearing, his admiration for her. Tori was really out there. She was just enjoying herself. When I was first cast, Donna was a just a smaller side character. So there was never a discussion about her character staying a virgin. I think she stayed a virgin because once we established that she was a fan favorite, people really started relating to her.

Teens constantly would approach me and tell me that they were virgins and they had times where they were scared that being a virgin would make them seem uncool, but then Donna made it okay. Gabrielle Carteris was the oldest cast member; she was 29 years old when she was cast as year-old Andrea Zuckerman. Worried that she would be considered too old, she lied about her age. I never talked about it. Beverly Hills, made its debut on October 4, , but it was far from an overnight success.

I was strongly advised to write a show that would address the consequences of that sexual experience. So the first episode of the second season Brenda broke up with Dylan because their relationship had gotten too mature. While we were filming a graduation scene, someone hid a bomb underneath the bleachers. We hit it big! West Beverly High School is a fictional place; the series takes place there because Beverly Hills High School would not allow the production to use its name.

Filming for the school-set scenes took place at Torrance High School, about 20 miles away. The concept was highly unique, as television shows typically do not present new episodes during the period between their annual finales and premieres.

In more recent times, certain shows have begun offering new interval material in other forms, including shorts on the Internet, and television movies. Gabrielle Carteris Andrea Zuckerman notably is not in a bikini in the summer episodes, which was a choice Carteris made for her character. That decision was only cemented for Carteris when Aaron Spelling called her, prior to filming of the Season 3 summer episodes, and told her to lose weight. The show's now-iconic theme music was not always present in the first airings; some viewers remember an entirely different, somewhat calmer tune that was also heard during the end credits.

Furthermore, this tune was accompanied by opening and ending scenes of postal deliveries depicting the change of address for the Walsh family that were eventually excluded from the Season 1 montage. Tata, reunited for a special to discuss the impact which the shows success has had on their lives and careers. In December , executive producers of the 'mockumentary-style' reboot began shopping it around to networks.

It was picked up by FOX and announced at the end of February The series will air in Summer Beverly Hills, Storyline Edit. They quickly encounter queen bee Naomi, rebel Silver, troubled Adrianna and others as the drama unfolds in There's a new class at West Beverly Hills High Did you know Edit.

Trivia Hilary Duff was first offered the part of Annie Wilson but declined the role. Shenae Grimes-Beech was then cast. This is done as to not interfere with the schooling of real teenagers and to give the general viewing audience who are teenagers themselves someone they can look up to.

User reviews Review. Top review. Better than Expected! I went in as a big fan of the original, expecting to be disappointed. I actually like this show! I don't think I'd feel the same without Jennie Garth. I'm hoping that the original characters don't appear just for the purpose of launching this show. That would detract from the authenticity of the project and diminish the lure in to watching the show.

The only weird return from a Spelling predecessor is Rob Estes - only because I feel like Lisa Rinna or Heather Locklear are about to run onto the set. The tie-ins with the original are great. This show seems to have been developed very well as far as consistency is concerned. The acting is also better than expected.
