In the end, all the colors appear together in a beautiful rainbow of ribbons. A pop-up rainbow is a nice surprise on the last page. Yes, this is a board book but I find that sometimes the ones that tell an actual story are great for my emerging reader.
She is young enough that they still can hold her interest, and she is old enough that she can start picking out sight words and learn some of the text herself because of all the visual prompts.
